Classes

Classes have been held at the Firehouse Gallery for over 30 years. The present owner has been holding classes for more than a decade. All classes are taught by a Certified Experienced Teacher of Fine Art. All of our teaching staff have undergone extensive background checks by the F.B.I.

Summers:

Class lists and current schedules are usually available by March 1 for that summer. We host a Summer Art Camp Program for kids ages 7* through 16. Classes are small in size and all supplies are included. Classes run weekly in July and August. Families may pick and choose the weeks they wish to participate; each week is a different theme. Some themes may include: cartooning, treasure maps, sculpture, drawing, painting, pastels and much more. The day camp program runs for either half or full-day schedules depending on what fits best into your schedule and budget. Morning sessions are from 9 a.m. to noon. Afternoon sessions are from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Those staying a full day may stay for a one-hour supervised lunch.

*Students must be at least seven years old as of class start date to participate.

October through March:

We offer a weekly after-school class for children ages 7 to 13. Classes are on Wednesdays and usually run from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Students bring their own supplies and classes cost $50.00 per month. Classes are limited to just 10 students. Call for information or to register. 609-298-3742.

Material List:

Bag, tackle box or lunch box, scissors, ruler, compass, regular pencil, eraser, hand-held pencil sharpener, colored pencils, fine and very fine Sharpie™ markers or other permanent pen. 8½" x 11" sketch pad, drawing pad of good, thick paper around 12" x 18", rated 80 lb. or higher, and a watercolor set (not in tubes).

Adults and Teens:

Classes are held every week from October through March on Wednesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Students bring their own supplies and classes cost $50.00 per month. Classes are limited to just 10 students. Instruction is individualized and students may work with oils, acrylics, pastels, pencil, ink and in a sculpting medium. We do not have a kiln available.
