Other Artwork

This artist of many talents works in several styles besides his classical realistic figures. The line-based works are called "blind drawings." The lines are drawn while looking at the subject but without looking at the hand. This gives an honest abstract quality to the work. This style was pioneered by , one of Gibbons' artistic heroes. Some of the works are intimate drawings on a small scale while others may be as tall as 8 feet.

You will also see some experimental photographs below called monoprints. They are created without the use of a computer. All color effects are done in the emulsion as the film develops. This series is on display at the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan. There is a figurative version of this series as well for sale in some of Gibbons' representing galleries.
